The Royal Shakespeare Theatre and Swan Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon have now closed for transformation which will see them re-developed to create the most dynamic space for performing and enjoying Shakespeare. The transformation project is due for completion in 2010. The Royal Shakespeare Company continue to perform throughout the project at the 1,000 seat Courtyard Theatre which was opened in 2006. The Courtyard Theatre's auditorium will be a template for the new Royal Shakespeare Theatre. For further details of the project please visit www.rsc.org.uk/transformation

Opening details:

There are several tours in the week and two on Sundays, but times do vary according to performance and rehearsal schedules. For more information and to book a place call the RSC Box Office on 0844 800 1114 or pop into the theatre itself. (There is a maximum of 20 people per tour).
