It may be that they’re home to a particular national event or focus, that they’re great to visit this time of year, or simply that we love what they have to offer and want you to experience it too.
As well as holding the Grand National this month, Liverpool is celebrating its status as European Capital of Culture, with a series of exhibitions, concerts, sporting events and much more. Did you know that Liverpool also boasts more museums and galleries than any other city outside London?
It’s Shakespeare’s birthday this month, so why not pay a visit to his home town? Visit his homes, see his grave and enjoy your favourite Shakespeare play performed brilliantly by the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Courtyard Theatre.
This month, 130 of Britain’s most hotly-tipped and breaking new artists will descend on Camden Town for the annual Camden Crawl. But as well as great music, you can also find fantastic places to shop, eat, or just watch the world go by.
Its history might date back to Roman times, but Cardiff is Britain’s youngest city. Watch the Welsh rugby team at the Millennium Stadium, shop till you drop in the Victorian arcades, or see the unique art science displays at the National Museum & Gallery.
